                        NTC AND PTC THERMISTORS

   
  Thermistors are low-cost temperature sensors based on the principle that electrical resistance changes with a change in temperature. These devices are based on a semiconductor material whose resistance shows a large change with a comparatively small temperature change. Thermistors either have a negative temperature coefficient (NTC - resistance decreases with increased temperature) or a positive temperature coefficient (PTC - resistance increases with increased temperature). Our NTC probes are based on a 10KΩ ±1% @ 25ºC sensor - i.e the resistance at 25ºC is 10KΩ, and our PTC probes use a 1KΩ ±1% @ 25ºC sensor.

The NTCHP temperature sensor has an operating range of -50º to +50ºC in liquid or -50º to +105ºC in air. It is sealed in a 6mm diameter x 15mm long plastic IP67 rated package and is available with cable lengths of 1.5, 3 and 6 metres. These sensors are primarily designed for use with our IR32, IRDR and PJ32 series temperature controllers, but are suitable for many other low temperature applications.

The NTCWP temperature sensor has an operating range of -50º to +105ºC in liquids or in air. It is sealed in a 6mm diameter x 52mm long AISI 316 stainless steel IP68 rated package and is available with cable lengths of 1.5, 3 and 6 metres. These sensors are primarily designed for use with our IR32, IRDR and PJ32 series temperature controllers, but are suitable for many other low temperature applications


 



PTC THERMISTOR - IP65 STAINLESS STEEL HOUSING

The PTC0000 temperature sensor covers a range of -50ºC to +150ºC and is packaged in a 6mm diameter x 43mm long IP65 rated stainless steel housing with a cable length of 1.5metres. These PTC sensors are primarily designed for use with our PJ32 series temperature controllers, but are suitable for many other low temperature applications

The PTCW000 temperature sensor covers a range of -50 to 100ºC and is packaged in a 6mm diameter x 40mm long IP67 rated stainless steel housing with a cable length of 1.5metres. These PTC sensors are primarily designed for use with our PJ32 series temperature controllers, but are suitable for many other low temperature applications
